Fingo design system

2022 | Figma

A design system is essential for every company developing a digital product. I this case, a design system made for a fintech ensures consistency, improves efficiency, and enhances user experience. It enables the devs to develop a cohesive and unified visual language across all products, resulting in a seamless and intuitive experience for users.

When working with developers hand to hand you need to have a design system so that everybody works based on the same graphic elements.

As I was the one who changed and designed Fingo's new brand identity, a design system was also needed to develop new elements on the platform that needed guidelines to grow coherently.

The scope of the Project

The project's scope encompassed a comprehensive overhaul of Fingo's digital presence, aiming to establish a design system that would provide a unified visual language for all their financial products. This involved a holistic rebranding effort, necessitating the creation of guidelines for typography, color schemes, iconography, and component libraries. The objective was to extend this design system to their web and mobile applications, ensuring consistency and cohesiveness across their entire digital ecosystem.

Results

The implementation of the design system had a profound impact on Fingo's user experience and interface design. It led to an enhanced level of consistency and coherence throughout their digital products, resulting in a more streamlined, intuitive, and engaging user journey. User feedback indicated a marked improvement in the ease of navigation and understanding of their financial services, which in turn increased customer satisfaction and trust. Furthermore, the collaborative approach between designers and developers under the guidance of the design system promoted a harmonious working relationship, ultimately leading to more efficient product development and updates. Overall, the project's results underscore the transformative power of a well-executed design system in the fintech industry.

UX/UI design process

The UX design process began with a thorough analysis of Fingo's existing design assets and an evaluation of user feedback. This research formed the foundation for creating wireframes and prototypes, allowing us to visualize the proposed design changes. Collaboration with the development team was vital, as it required the translation of design elements into code. Regular design reviews and testing ensured that the design system remained adaptable and aligned with the needs of both the end users and the development team.

My role

As the UX/UI designer, my role in this project was to ensure the success of Fingo's design system implementation. I was responsible for orchestrating the visual transformation of the factoring financial company's products. My task was to create a seamless and intuitive user experience by establishing consistent design elements and principles. Working closely with the development team, I played a central role in translating these design guidelines into functional and interactive digital interfaces.

Fingo branding

Year 2022 | Illustrator

Fingo is a Fintech; they offer digital financial services. They had an old school logo made by the company's CEO just to begin the business. It was urgent to change it because an attractive and accurate branding is essential for a fintech as it helps to establish trust and credibility with potential customers. A well-designed brand identity can differentiate the company from competitors, convey its values and mission, and create a strong emotional connection with its target audience. A consistent and accurate branding across all platforms, including website, social media, and advertising, can also enhance brand recognition and loyalty, ultimately leading to increased customer acquisition and retention.
